Savannah & her Sweet Momma

This summer was the season for catching up with friends I've not seen in person since I moved states, as well as capturing updated photos three years later. Last time I captured Savannah's photos, she was graduating nursing school and celebrating a new chapter in her life. Now three years later, she has continues to progress in Ballet to be on point shoes, as well as wanting to capture some fun photos with her momma.

We went down to one of my favorite locations in Chattanooga and had some fun in the humid air, which wasn't the best for hair, but what can you do right after it stopped raining. We went to the walking bridge and talked and played around for a while, capturing beautiful smiles and joy as Savannah and her mom danced around and hugged. If you look at their photos together, you can really see the resemblance in their smiles. I especially loved when Savannah and I got her momma dancing around and spinning and feeling confident about herself. Which is one of my favorite things to do as a photographer- help people feel confident in themselves. When we finished at the bridge we went on to the underside of the bridge to take some beautiful dance photos- which I have truly missed doing. I was so happy to do this again as it was one of my loves when I first started my photography business.

Eventually Savannah's momma had to leave and we went off to catch up more over lunch, but I am excited for the next time we get together for photos! Hopefully not waiting another three years now that I am coming back to Tennessee more regularly. ;P
