Trip Down Memory Lane
I may live in Florida now, but Tennessee is my home- where I have lived most of my years, spent most of my time, and holds most of my family and memories. One such place that holds so many precious memories and feel like home- is East Tennessee, places like Gatlinburg.
I have a long weekend with work, and decided to spend my free time on a personal vacation to Gatlinburg. Originally my friend Jess was supposed to go with me, but she got sick and it became a solo trip. However, my sweet momma found some free time and came up to join me for the night! We walked the strip, stopping at my favorite candy shop to watch as homemade taffy is made on the 100 year old candy machines, and stopped to listen to bluegrass music in the world's first legal moonshine distillery. Every corner drew back old memories, every sound of the clicking candy machines or strums of the banjo and every step down the street felt like home.
