Fun times from the Oldest to the Youngest!

This photoshoot was the best way for me to end my summer break before starting teaching again. I met the Rosario Family through teaching summer school, and Edinnette and I made fast friends. We made sure to share contact info before summer school finished, and we got together in the short window while parents and all the kids were still in town. All together we had 8 family members join, with three generations present. It was so special to get to capture such special times with beloved family members. It also was a hilarious shoot as everyone was ready to have so much fun, and might have been my favoite family photoshoot to date!

We met down at the park for some fun under cover since we were playing chicken with the storm and working out those "getting photos taken" jitters. As I would take photos with one group, another would be goofing off behind me and getting everyone in stitches. Grandpa would initiate such fun poses that had everyone smiling, and the sweet moments between the girls, their mom and grandma would bring tears to my eyes. Everyone danced with each other and was full of laughter as we gathered the umbrellas and made our way to the beach for part 2.

On the way to the beach we got some beautiful photos of the parents as it had just finished raining and the water on the new wood walkways made for some beautiful reflections. Then everyone raced down to the sand to take some family photos, before beginning to goof off and run into the waves. It was such a blast to capture the competitiveness of the kids running races down the beach (where I got covered in sand), the sweet moments between parents clearly in love, and the laughter of grandma and grandpa as they would copy or mimic their grandchildren. My favorite was grandpa going for the thunder arms, or grandma jumping on grandpa's back after the older kids had started playing chicken with the ocean. The rain was not going to stop our fun as we ran around in the sand and kept the camera dry under the umbrella. This photoshoot was such a blast and you can feel the joy looking through the photos. Everyone had fun, from the youngest to the oldest and I can't wait for the next one <3
